Hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. I know, I know, it's been 2 weeks since I've updated. I
apologize. You all are gonna quit checking on us. Just kidding. I hope not. Not a lot has been going on.
Just the usual. School and the boys have occupied all my free time to get on here and update. But 2
weeks I think is long enough.
--Levi's labs and scopes have been good. His last scope was last week and it was ok. His labs have
been fine. This week coming up is going to be busy for him and me. He has several tests tomorrow.
They are for the stuff that they will do yearly and some are just to make sure everything is ok to do the
stoma reversal in a couple weeks. Tomorrow he has a liver ultrasound, a GFR (kidney test with dye), a
colostogram and an upper GI. Then, on Wednesday, he has a colonoscopy. Tomorrow will be the
busiest. We have to be there at 8:30 and the last test doesn't start until 2:30. I am sure I won't be able
to be with him during all the tests especially the Upper GI and he will probably be put to sleep for that.
The liver US and the kidney test I should be able to be with him and I'm not sure about the colostogram.
I think they run dye through his stoma, but don't know if I will be present. Long day, nonetheless. It will
be hard on Levi because he has to be off his feeds for 4 hours before the 1st test at 8:30am then he
will be off until after the last test at 2:30. It's going to be close to 12 hours with nothing to eat or drink.
Wednesday won't be quite as bad , but he has to be off his feeds 8 hours before the test.
--Last weekend we took the boys to Gatlinburg, TN. We had a great time. It was our first night away
from everything as a family since before Levi was born. I can't tell you how overdue we were. We went
to the aquarium, Ripley's museum, a dino museum, a mirror maze, a movie car museum and the
Comedy Barn. It was a lot of fun. I posted a couple pics at the top.
--Levi has bypassed the walikng stage. He runs everywhere now. He's still mean as ever. He is eating
about the same. He drinks way more when I am at school and he's with my sis-in-law. Go figure. He
probably does it out of spite.
--I am getting very excited about his ostomy reversal. It will make my life so much easier. And I am sure
he will like it a lot better as well. Don't be surprised if you don't get an update until then. I will take my
laptop and update daily while he is admitted, but may not get the chance to update again until then.
--Love you all. Thanks for keeping up with us even if my updates are getting fewer and farther
between. Please say a prayer for Devin Toledo. I've asked for prayers for him before. He is really sick
again and his momma is quite worried. He has a lot going on and I won't go into detail, but him and his
momma need your prayers desperately. He is about a year older than Levi, but anything that could
have went the wrong way, has done so in his short life. He greatly deserves some good news. He is
such a fighter, but needs as many prayers as he can get. Thanks to everyone, love you all.
